Golfer’s Elbow

Also called “medial epicondylitis,” this painful condition may come out of nowhere or may begin after a simple bump or sprain of the elbow. It causes severe pain on the inside of the elbow, worse with activities that require gripping and lifting, and may happen together with numbness and tingling in the fingers.

Standard treatments for golfer’s elbow include watchful waiting, icing, stretching and physical therapy, bracing, and anti-inflammatory medications.

Dr. Nelson offers advanced treatments for golfer’s elbow, including state of the art platelet-rich-plasma injections (“PRP”) and mini-open surgical procedures to clean-out and re-attach the painful tendon fibers.
